Mernda Sports & Aquatic Centre

Dynamik Works performed the planting portion of the early works wetland package as part of the construction of City of Whittlesea’s plans to build a new sports and aquatic centre in Mernda. The team delivered 2.5km2 of jute mat and 31,000+ 140mm plants in wet, winter conditions.

Altona Memorial Park

Improvements to the Altona Memorial Park focused on upgrades to the frontage in new monumental and lawn grave plots on the East and West. Our scope included installation of 5km² of jute matt and 91,000+ native plants and trees.

Stages 1-5 included 3 parks, and a series of streetscapes. The planting scope included 30,000+ 140mm pot plants installed in a diamond patterned orientation. A series of beds ran over top a high-pressure gas line, our crews practiced safe planting according to excavation permits and planting plans.

Inland Rail Stations

To conclude upgrades to Wangaratta & Glenrowan stations to facilitate interstate movements of double stacked freight trains, Dynamik Works was tasked with delivering 60,000+ native plants. In a series of mobilisations, we worked in step with Wamarra and other contractors to deliver planting progressively as work fronts became available.

Dynamik Works supported the placement of topsoil and mulch, followed by intricate planting works across internal planter beds and detailed external gardens —including the successful transplanting of fragile roses that had been stored off-site for over a year during construction, that were originally planted decades ago when the school was established.
